Cominciamo la mia personale classifica dei dischi del 2011 con le prime dieci posizioni. Sono gli outsiders, quelli che sono entrati nei quaranta per un soffio. Rappresentano, per filo e per segno, più o meno, i miei gusti. // Let’s start my personal album chart for 2011, with the works from 40th to 31st place, the Outsiders. They represent my preferences, nothing more nothing less. 

40. The New Division - Shadows

E’ una chicchetta new-wave / porno soft / synthpop. Sarei felice, un giorno, di poter ballare Munich in un locale, ma è anche vero che per ora son stato l’unico a metterla. // It’s a new-wave / soft-porn / synth-pop gem. I would be happy if a day I’ll could dance Munich in a club. But it’s also true that, ‘til today, I’m the only dj that played The New Division in Italy. 

39. Is Tropical - Native to

L’ennesimo disco della Kitsunè per orsetti poser. Per gli uomini veri che pensano che sia più indispensabile una t-shirt punk della barba. // Just another Kitsunè-poser-gay-bear album, for real machos who think that the only need for being a man it’s a glam punk t-shirt. 

38. Feist - Metals

Quest’anno non ha nevicato, praticamente. Sono depresso? Non lo so, ma questa cantante mi piace, mi piace la sua voce, mi piace quest’atmosfera da sabato mattina. // It snowed just a few, last year. Was I depressed? Don’t know, but I like this singer, this voice, this atmosphere-just-for-a-sunday-morning.

37. Rebecca And Fiona - I love you man

Googliamo. Sono così belle, Rebecca e Fiona? Sono così magicamente troie o è solo un trucchetto promozionale? Parliamoci chiaro: non è un brutto disco, ma se lo cantasse Beth Ditto probabilmente non l’avrei neanche ascoltato. // Let’s googlesearch. Are Rebecca and Fiona so beautiful? Are Rebecca and Fiona so magically sluts or it’s just a promotional trick? Ok, it’s not a bad work but I think it wouldn’t be the same with Beth Ditto instead of R&F. 

36. Muchuu - On Beyond

Contrariamente a ciò che potreste pensare di questo disco, non è il classico dischino che metti in una classifica per apparire figo e alternativo; è il classico dischino INDIE POP CHE NESSUNO CONOSCE che metti in una classifica per apparire figo e alternativo CON LE RAGAZZE. // Contrary to what you might think about this album, it’s not the classic project that you put in a chart to appear cool and alternative; it’s the classic INDIE POP project WHO NOBODY KNOWS that you put in a chart to appear cool and alternative WITH THE GIRLS.

34. M83 - Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming.

Sveglia! Gli M83 non sono una cosa nuova. Esistono da dieci anni e questo album, fottutamente lungo, non è interessante perché senti il singolone alla radio. // Wake up! M83 it’s not a brand new thing! This project exists from ten years, and this (too long) album it’s not interesting ‘cause you’re listening to their hit single on Radio One. 

33. Kasabian - Velociraptor!

Questo è britrock elegante, cazzo. Non quella vecchia merda che andava bene solo per studenti erasmus a prezzo ridotto. Ben fatto. // This Is Elegant Brit Rock And Roll and not that old shit that was suited just for Erasmus students with reduced entry prices. Good work, wow!

32. The Vaccines - What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?

E poi ci troveremo come star a bere del whisky a Cross Bay Boulevard. // And then we’ll meet at Cross Bay Boulevard to drink whisky like stars. 

31. Korallreven - An album by Korallreven

Un giornalista in viaggio verso le Samoa e un membro dei The Radio Dept. hanno avuto la brillante idea di produrre un disco intelligente per la trentunesima posizione di questa chart. Vorrei fosse la mia storia, la mia vita. // A journalist travelling to Samoa and a member of The Radio Dept. had the brilliant idea to produce some intelligent music for the 31st place of this chart. I wish that it was my story, my life.
